The Hong Kong conglomerate is betting that Steve Wozniak's blockchain venture can carry it into crypto trading and carbon credit markets
TROOPS, Inc., the Nasdaq-listed conglomerate based in Hong Kong, has signed a conditional agreement to merge with EFFORCE Group. The deal carries a reported all-share valuation of $40 million.
The target is not an obscure startup. EFFORCE was co-founded by Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak, which gives a modest-sized deal a famous name.
The goal is to push TROOPS deeper into digital asset infrastructure. Crypto trading and carbon credit transactions sit at the center of the plan.
What the agreement actually covers
TROOPS (NASDAQ: TROO) announced the conditional sales and purchase agreement on October 12, 2026. The merger still needs regulatory approvals and has to clear customary closing conditions.
The $40 million figure is a reported valuation, and it is structured entirely in shares.
For context, TROOPS reported fiscal year 2025 revenue of $17.1 million. That puts the reported deal value at more than twice the company’s annual top line.
The strategic logic, as TROOPS frames it, is to bolt EFFORCE’s blockchain capabilities onto its existing financial operations. Three areas get named: digital asset trading, carbon credit transactions, and broader financial services.

TROOPS President and CEO Damian Thurnheer described the merger as a major milestone. In his framing, the deal strengthens the company’s digital asset ambitions and its push to diversify.
After the deal, the company intends to use EFFORCE’s technology to reach new markets and upgrade its service lineup. The combined entity also plans to make it easier for clients to access carbon credits and green certificates, while facilitating crypto trading.
Who these two companies are
TROOPS has been around since 2005. It previously operated under the name SGOCO Group.
Its businesses span fintech, insurance consultancy, and money lending.
EFFORCE was co-founded by Wozniak in 2020 with a focus on using blockchain to promote energy efficiency and sustainability. The company is currently led by CEO Sergio Carloni.
What this means for TROOPS and its shareholders
The most immediate question for TROOPS shareholders is dilution. Because the deal is paid in stock, the existing ownership base will likely be spread across a larger share count once the transaction closes.
The reported $40 million valuation also deserves context. Against $17.1 million in fiscal 2025 revenue, TROOPS is placing a meaningful bet relative to its own scale, and the company has not publicly detailed EFFORCE’s financials alongside the announcement.
The next milestones are straightforward. The first is whether the deal clears regulators and its closing conditions. The second is whether TROOPS discloses fuller terms, including how many shares it will issue.

The timing is particularly ironic since XRP is hovering around $1.40 after a challenging October, despite ongoing XRP ETF inflows and rising institutional interest in the product.

Evernorth Stock (XRPN) Starts Trading on Nasdaq With 473 Million XRP
Evernorth stock starts its public market journey on Nasdaq under the XRPN ticker, having combined with Armada Acquisition Corp. II in a business development deal. The resulting entity is a public shell company with an XRP treasury, according to management.
What Is Evernorth and Why Is It Going Public?
Evernorth is an XRP treasury stock vehicle, which enables investors to gain exposure to the cryptocurrency without the need to deal with crypto wallets, private keys, and custodianship.
In addition, the management will utilize the company’s XRP treasury, contrary to many similar firms, which are satisfied with sitting on the token.
The Nasdaq listing allows Evernorth to access the public markets and raise capital to invest in XRP and the broader crypto economy, while also providing a transparent reporting system for shareholders.
Evernorth Raises $300 Million in Gross Cash Proceeds
Evernorth raised approximately $300 million in gross proceeds following its business combination with Armada II, which is set to occur sometime in the next few days. The company is now flush with cash and will have plenty of opportunities to invest in the XRP ecosystem and purchase more XRP.
In short, Evernorth’s $300 million number represents the potential buying power of the firm rather than the amount of XRP it purchased.
Who Backs Evernorth? Ripple, SBI Group, Pantera Capital and Kraken
Evernorth has attracted aWho’s Who of crypto and traditional finance investors, including Ripple, SBI Group, Pantera Capital, Kraken, Arrington Capital, and GSR.
The connection to Ripple is particularly intriguing due to the company’s involvement in many XRP-related undertakings.
How Much XRP Does Evernorth Actually Hold?
Evernorth has approximately 473 million XRP on its balance sheet, which makes the token its main asset. However, investors should be aware that not all of these tokens were purchased on the open market.
Some of the XRP was contributed by investors as part of the transaction.
Where Evernorth’s 473 Million XRP Treasury Came From
Evernorth made some substantial purchases of XRP on the open market ahead of its Nasdaq listing. One such transaction involved the purchase of more than 84 million XRP for $214 million, which implies an average purchase price of $2.54 per token.
As XRP’s price is significantly lower than this threshold, Evernorth’s cost basis for some of its XRP holdings is higher than the current market value.
Where Evernorth’s 473 Million XRP Treasury Came From
Evernorth’s XRP treasury comprises a significant amount of directly contributed XRP and additional tokens bought with the funds raised. Both direct contributions and purchases add to the total amount of XRP holdings, with investors contributing substantially to the sum.
In this regard, the transfers represent an increase in treasury without a corresponding dilution in the market. Evernorth bought additional XRP with cash before its Nasdaq listing.
How Much XRP Did Evernorth Buy on the Open Market?
The company bought substantial amounts of XRP directly before its public-market debut. Evernorth purchased more than 84 million XRP for $214 million in one large transaction.
On average, the company purchased each token for $2.54. Thus, at the current price level, the value of the 472 billion XRP bought by the firm directly is significantly lower than the purchase price.
XRP Contributions vs. Cash Purchases: What Investors Need to Know
Direct contributions to Evernorth’s XRP treasury do not include any dilution on the market and only transfer existing tokens to the company’s wallet. In turn, cash purchases require the company to buy XRP on the market and, therefore, affect the supply-demand.
Evernorth (ticker $XRPN) is an #XRP treasury company holding ~473M XRP plus ~$300M in cash.

Can Evernorth’s XRP Treasury Push XRP Price Higher?
Evernorth’s XRP treasury will have a positive impact on the long-dated institutional demand for the cryptocurrency. The immediate impact on the price is much harder to predict and most likely depends on whether Evernorth will continue buying XRP.
As such, Evernorth’s listing itself is not likely to be a major catalyst for a price increase, as the company already has a significant XRP position.
Why the XRPN Listing Does Not Automatically Create New XRP Demand
Evernorth’s listing creates another publicly traded security, which is backed by XRP. Investors who purchase XRPN stock will buy shares from Evernorth rather than buying XRP on the open market.
As such, there is no reason to believe that secondary market trading of XRPN will have a significant impact on the demand for XRP. In other words, Evernorth will only increase the demand for XRP if it raises additional capital and uses some of it to purchase more tokens.
Read more: Why Are Ethereum and XRP Prices Falling While ETF Investors Treat Them Differently?
Could Evernorth Buy More XRP After Its Nasdaq Debut?
Evernorth still has ample liquidity following its recent business combination, which could be used to purchase more XRP. The management also wants to increase the amount of XRP per share, which means it will potentially continue buying the cryptocurrency.
How Corporate XRP Treasury Demand Differs From XRP ETF Inflows
An XRP corporate treasury is somewhat similar to an XRP ETF, but with a few notable differences. Essentially, spot ETFs track the performance of an index which is based on the demand for shares.
By contrast, Evernorth’s stock is influenced by the demand for XRP, but also other factors, such as the yield differential, treasury strategy, and the overall performance of the company’s assets.
The corporate treasury approach involves more moving parts and is more complicated than buying a simple basket of XRP.
Why Is XRP Price Struggling to Recover?
Evernorth is taking a different approach to Evergrande and other similar players, who focus on buying XRP as a long-dated store of value. The price of XRP has struggled to recover following a brutal October, and appears poised to test the $1.40 level once again.
In addition, the broader cryptocurrency market has become increasingly risk-off. Derivatives traders and whales continue to exert downward pressure on the price of XRP.
XRP Price Today: Key Levels After the Drop Toward $1.40
XRP’s price remains well within the $1.40 range following an extended period of weakness. This is a critical level, as the price appears to base itself around it on a daily chart.
In this context, a breakout below this threshold will potentially be a bearish sign, as it will open the door to a test of the $1.20 level.
XRP ETF Inflows vs. Spot Market Selling Pressure
XRP’s spot market sellers continue to dominate the action at the cryptocurrency exchange. In spite of the recent inflows into XRP ETFs, the price of XRP remains well within the $1.40 range.
This is despite the fact that both traditional market fund managers and crypto-native investors continue to express a strong degree of conviction in the long-term prospects of the asset class.
XRP Futures, Open Interest and Liquidations: What the Data Shows
Derivatives traders continue to be a significant force in the price movement of XRP. In recent weeks, long liquidations have been accelerating, which suggests that leveraged traders are losing conviction in the strength of the long-side case.
Trading volume and open interest remain well below the levels seen in early October, which suggests that the correction might have run its course.
XRPN Stock vs. XRP: Which Gives Investors Better Exposure?
XRPN and XRP represent two different ways for investors to participate in the XRP ecosystem. Evernorth provides an additional layer of complexity and risk, but it also potentially offers superior yield on investment.
How XRPN Shares Provide Exposure to Evernorth’s XRP Treasury
Every share of XRPN stock provides an investor with an economic interest in Evernorth as a company. In essence, Evernorth’s XRP treasury is just one component of a larger investment in the company.
According to Evernorth’s management, the company intends to utilize its XRP position in accordance with its overall investment strategy.
Why XRPN Stock May Trade at a Premium or Discount to Its XRP Holdings
The Evernorth/XRPN combination resembles a publicly traded company, which utilizes a portion of its assets to purchase XRP. In this sense, the company acts similarly to an ETF, which buys a basket of securities and tracks its performance.
In reality, XRPN shares could potentially trade at a premium or discount to their underlying value. Essentially, a premium might be justified if investors anticipate additional purchases of XRP by Evernorth.
A discount could potentially occur in a situation when the market is pessimistic about the performance of the company’s XRP position.

The Risks of Buying XRP Treasury Stocks Instead of XRP
XRPN involves different types of risks than simply purchasing XRP on the open market. According to Evernorth’s management, they intend to utilize the company’s cash reserves to purchase XRP.
However, it is also possible that they will raise additional capital through a stock offering. As such, the value of XRPN shares depends not only on the price of XRP, but also on the performance of Evernorth’s other assets and the amount of additional capital the company can raise.
In the event of a secondary offering, existing shareholders might find themselves in a situation where they have to sell shares at a loss.

Evernorth’s XRP Treasury Strategy: How Does It Plan to Generate Returns?
XRP Per Share: The Metric Evernorth Wants to Grow
While Evernorth contemplates a passive XRP holding company model, its managers intend to make the company a dynamic accumulator of XRP coins on a per-share basis.
The management’s desire to increase XRP holdings on a per-share basis will require a combination of active treasury management, yield generation, and ecosystem investment strategies. The company could employ a buy-and-hold approach to increase its XRP holdings on a per-share basis through direct purchases.
Alternatively, Evernorth could adopt a strategy of yield generation in addition to buying more XRP and speculate on price gains. However, the dilution risk is also present because issuing new shares will reduce XRP holdings per share, which may be difficult to offset by the value of newly issued shares.
Can Institutional and DeFi Strategies Generate Yield on XRP?
Management intends to diversify Evernorth’s treasury management by implementing institutional and DeFi strategies to generate yield on some of the company’s XRP holdings.
The company could invest in various DeFi protocols and traditional financial instruments to generate yield on its cryptocurrency holdings. This strategy would make Evernorth’s treasury management more dynamic while enhancing returns through income from investments. However, such an approach would involve significant risks, including counterparty, technical, and liquidity risks. Thus, while DeFi and institutional investing strategies could enhance Evernorth’s performance, they involve substantial risks.
How Evernorth’s Strategy Compares With Other Crypto Treasury Companies
Most crypto treasury companies practice a capital-raising and digital asset buying strategy, but Evernorth plans to employ a more dynamic approach to increase the value of its XRP holdings.
While many crypto treasury companies are focused on raising capital from investors to purchase digital assets, Evernorth intends to take a more dynamic approach to increase the value of its XRP holdings. The company’s strategy of accumulating XRP on a per-share basis while participating in the ecosystem offers significant upside but involves substantially more risk than the buy-and-hold strategy employed by many of its competitors.
What Could Evernorth’s Nasdaq Listing Mean for XRP in Q4 2026?
Evernorth adds another publicly traded security, which is designed to provide investors with exposure to XRP. XRP ETFs already provide investors with a similar opportunity.
Evernorth will potentially have a larger impact on the price of XRP if it utilizes its cash reserves to purchase more XRP.
Bullish Scenario: Fresh Capital and Additional XRP Purchases
Evernorth’s listing on Nasdaq will potentially enable the firm to raise additional capital, which it can utilize to purchase more XRP.
This development could become a bullish catalyst for the price of XRP, assuming the company continues to utilize its resources to increase its XRP-per-share ratio.
In addition, increasing demand for XRPN shares will potentially make it easier for Evernorth to raise additional capital. This, in turn, could potentially enable the company to accelerate its XRP buying program.
Bearish Scenario: Weak Spot Demand and Continued Selling Pressure
Evernorth’s listing on Nasdaq will potentially enable the firm to raise additional capital. However, the recent weakness in the price of XRP suggests that any additional supply of the cryptocurrency will be bearish for the spot price.
If XRP continues to struggle below the $1.40 level, it will become increasingly difficult for Evernorth to continue purchasing XRP. This is because the company will potentially face significant selling pressure from both spot and derivatives traders.
Key XRPN and XRP Metrics to Watch After the Listing
Following its listing on Nasdaq, Evernorth will potentially utilize its resources to increase its XRP-per-share ratio. This will potentially be accomplished through additional purchases of the cryptocurrency and yield-generating strategies.
Evernorth’s success will depend on its ability to withstand the selling pressure from whales and derivatives traders. The most important metric to watch following Evernorth’s listing will be the amount of XRP the company holds. In addition, investors should keep a close eye on the price of XRP, particularly the $1.40 and $1.50 levels.

IO crypto is rising in October 2026, but the token is still suffering from persistent unlocks. The network behind IO has implemented a buyback and burn program that is supposed to support IO price. Can those buybacks offset millions of tokens unlocking?

Why Is IO Crypto Price Increasing in October 2026?
IO crypto has gained roughly 20% in the last 24 hours after bottoming at approximately $0.155 on October 10 to around $0.19. The price increase comes as another round of token unlocks is about to occur.
Factors explaining the demand for the AI token include:
Revenue-linked burns : Io.net has started destroying IO tokens with profits from the network.
AI Infrastructure Network : The blockchain provides GPUs for AI training and inference.
Business development : The network recorded an $8 million enterprise software deal in June 2026.
Price rebound : IO crypto has rebounded considerably from the $0.12 range it was trading in early September.
The increase in price has not yet demonstrated that the buybacks and burns influence the price trend. Cryptocurrency price movement is often guided by speculation, especially for small-cap tokens like IO.

How Does the io.net Buyback and Burn Mechanism Work?
The company announced the Incentive Dynamic Engine (IDE) in June 2026. It changed the linear supply mechanism with one tied to the network’s utilization. It also increases the amount of incentives paid to GPU suppliers and utilizes some of the network’s revenue to buy back and burn IO tokens.
While the new system pays suppliers in USD, it allocates at least 50% of the revenue from the sales to buybacks and burns. Therefore, increased utilization of the network can help increase the pace of IO crypto buybacks and burns.
It is important to note that the company reserves the right to utilize some of the purchased IO tokens to fund incentives. Therefore, the number of tokens burned will be lower than the 50% of revenue allocated.
How Many IO Tokens Have Been Burned?
The company anticipated flattening the supply-demand curve for the first 12 months after launch. It projected that 12,000,000 IO tokens would be destroyed in that period. As of July 2026, it had already recorded 1,200,000 IO token burns. The company destroyed 2,400,000 IO tokens as of October 12, 2026.

This is what a decentralized compute network built on real utility looks like. pic.twitter.com/nRyxLN84eu — io.net (@ionet) July 23, 2026
According to the latest numbers, approximately 2.4% of the 800,000,000 IO tokens issued have been burned to date. Anyone can track the burn events on the Solana blockchain . However, it might be difficult to confirm how much revenue the company utilizes to finance the buybacks and burns.
How Many IO Tokens Will Be Unlocked?
IO crypto unlocks are a perpetual challenge to the price. As of October 12, 2026, there were 511,000,000 IO tokens in circulation. That is 64% of the 800,000,000 tokens on the Solana blockchain.
The table below provides an estimate of the number of IO tokens that will be unlocked in the next year.
Unlock date Estimated IO unlocked Share of maximum supply October 11, 2026 8.58 million 1.07% November 11, 2026 8.55 million 1.07% December 11, 2026 8.52 million 1.07% January 11, 2027 8.50 million 1.06%
It is difficult to say with certainty how many tokens will be unlocked. The numbers above are approximate as different vesting calculators produce varying results. The first batch of 8,580,000 IO tokens will be given to early investors, project contributors, and the community.
That is a significant amount of cryptocurrency to hit the market. While it represents only 1.07% of the 800,000,000 IO tokens, it still constitutes $0.19, an 8.55 million IO unlock represents approximately $1.6 million in value. This amount is relevant to the valuation of the token as it goes to market.
Read More: Wormhole Crypto Jumps 30%: HYPE Integration Sparks Rally as $875K Token Unlock Looms
Can IO Buybacks Finance These Unlocks?
It does not appear so, not at the current rate. The company projects to burn 12,000,000 IO tokens in the first year. It means it will destroy approximately 1,000,000 IO tokens per month on average. At the same time, there will be 8,500,000 IO tokens unlocked every month through 2027.
It means the company will have to grapple with 7.5,000,000 more IO tokens per month than it can buy back and destroy.
Metric Monthly IO Projected average burns 1 million Estimated token unlocks 8.5 million Difference 7.5 million
What is the relevance of the difference? The number indicates that the company’s total supply will continue to rise as long as the 8.5 million monthly IO crypto unlocks continue.
Note that all 8.5 million tokens unlocked per month do not necessarily add to the circulating supply. Some of the recipients of these tokens might decide to sell them, and others may decide to retain them.
We can speculate that the higher the demand for the token, the fewer tokens will be sold on the market. However, the difference between the 8.5 and 1.0 million IO tokens is still significant.
Can Increasing Revenue Change the Dynamics?
The company’s best-case scenario for this equation is rising revenue. The company will need to increase its earnings considerably to finance the 8.5 million IO token unlocks per month.
Io.net operates a network that buys GPUs and rents them to businesses that require massive amounts of data processing for AI model training and inference. It is a marketplace that connects suppliers to customers. The company can earn a substantial amount of money as a result of the transactions that take place on its platform.
In June 2026, the company announced it had closed a $8 million enterprise contract expected to contribute approximately $650,000 in monthly network revenues. It also stated that it processed billions of AI tokens every day.
The figures are impressive, but the company has to show how much it can earn after it pays its suppliers. Some of those 8.5 million tokens recorded in an average month belong to the GPU suppliers.
Competition will be a significant factor in the performance of the business. Io.net has to contend with other blockchain networks that offer similar services. The company has to acquire customers that are willing to pay to rent GPUs on its platform.
Despite the competition, increased demand for AI applications implies that the company can generate more revenue if it invests in the expansion of its business.
It is important to note that not all of the revenue that the company generates will be utilized to buy back IO tokens. The company can use the cash to expand its operations, thus increasing the supply of tokens on the market.

Price level Significance $0.20 Immediate psychological resistance $0.19–$0.196 Recent trading high $0.17 Near-term support $0.15–$0.155 Previous consolidation area $0.14 Deeper support
Bullish Scenario: IO Breaks Above $0.20

If IO crypto’s price remains between $0.15 and $0.20, it will consolidate as bears and bulls take turns trading the token. If IO crypto price maintains this range amid growing supply, it will be a positive sign.
Bearish Scenario: IO Falls Below $0.15
If the price of IO crypto falls below $0.15, the bears will take over. It might be a good opportunity to short the crypto. The next support level will be the $0.15 would weaken the October recovery and expose the $0.14 range.
What to Watch Out for Ahead of the Next IO Token Unlock?
The performance of the price of IO crypto provides an insight into whether its tokenomics design is working. The most interesting developments will be the burn rate and network revenues.
The burn rate will give an indication of how much the company is willing and capable of spending on buybacks and burns. The next set of IO token unlocks will occur on November 11, 2026. There will be 8,550,000 IO tokens to go to market.
It will be interesting to see how the price responds if it maintains its recent performance. If the price remains stable amidst the higher circulating supply, it will signal that there is demand for the token.
IO Crypto Price Prediction: Can Buybacks Win?
Io.net has engineered a token that is designed to buy back and burn some of its tokens with profits earned on its network. It means that the company will be fighting to maintain the value as more tokens are unlocked.
However, the company’s revenue has to be significant enough to fund the 8.5 million IO per month unlocks. So far, the company has been recording an increase in its network utilization, which has helped boost the valuation.
This performance is beginning to attract the attention of investors with a long-term perspective. The price of the token is a pointer to the confidence that market participants have in its fundamentals.
It is still too early to tell if the price of IO crypto will continue to rise. We will have to wait and see if the price remains stable even after millions of tokens have been unlocked.

Anthropic has reported impressive gross margins from its inference services, suggesting strong pricing power in a competitive market. This update comes from a recent social media post by Amir, which highlights the AI lab’s financial strength in contrast to others in the industry. Anthropic, known for its AI platform Claude, appears to have achieved significant growth in its gross margins over the past year. These improvements are reportedly due to enhanced serving economics and pricing strategies, although the company still faces notable operational and infrastructure costs.
Key Takeaways
Anthropic’s reported high gross margins from inference appear to indicate strong financial performance and pricing power.
Market pricing suggests this development could bolster investor confidence and increase Anthropic’s valuation prospects.
The company’s emphasis on usage-based API services seems consistent with improving revenue structures.
What to Watch
Market participants will likely monitor further announcements from Anthropic regarding potential funding rounds and strategic partnerships, which could influence valuation projections. Developments such as new enterprise contracts or strategic investments from partners like Amazon and Google may indicate scenarios supportive of a YES outcome in valuation markets. Additionally, any shifts in broader AI-market sentiment could significantly impact Anthropic’s valuation outlook as the December 31 deadline approaches.

The company plans to repurchase stock and warrants at $3 each after selling roughly half its Solana treasury and rejecting Forward Industries’ latest proposal.
SkyAI has sold approximately 1 million SOL, representing half its Solana treasury, as it prepares a cash tender offer worth up to $201 million for its outstanding stock and warrants.
The Nasdaq listed company intends to offer $3 per share or warrant, a 65% premium to its October 9 closing share price, according to a statement released Sunday.
The proposed price also represents a premium of more than 100% to its volume weighted average share price over the past 60 days.
SkyAI expects to launch the offer around October 15 and keep it open for 10 business days, unless extended or terminated earlier. The company plans to file the definitive offer materials with the SEC by October 15.
The proposed offer would cover up to 95% of each class of its common stock, cash prefunded warrants, cryptocurrency prefunded warrants and strategic advisor warrants. That includes approximately 46.37 million shares and 20.72 million warrants.
SkyAI said it would fund the purchases with existing cash and proceeds from sales of SOL held in its treasury. The company still holds approximately 1 million SOL and may continue selling depending on market conditions.

Its cash and digital assets currently exceed the maximum purchase price, according to the company, meaning the offer will not be subject to a financing condition.
The offer does, however, depend on SOL’s closing price remaining above $100 throughout the offer period. It also requires holders to tender at least 50% of each class of outstanding securities.

Other expected conditions include the absence of material disruptions in equity or digital asset markets and that the repurchase would not cause SkyAI to lose its Nasdaq listing or become subject to deregistration. SkyAI said it may waive the conditions.
The announcement comes as Bitcoin, Solana and the broader crypto market consolidate. Bitcoin traded near $82,800 at press time, down about 1% in the past 24 hours, while SOL traded near $108, down roughly 2.5% over the same period.
SkyAI also rejected Forward Industries’ latest unsolicited takeover proposal, which offered 0.306 FWDI shares for each SkyAI share.
A special committee of independent directors reviewed the proposal with its advisers and unanimously recommended rejecting it. The board concluded that the offer undervalued SkyAI and provided no certainty over timing or value.
SkyAI said its own tender offer would give holders seeking liquidity a way to exit while allowing remaining investors to participate in its planned transformation into an agentic AI financial platform. The company announced that strategy in May.
If more than 95% of any class of securities is tendered, SkyAI expects to accept tenders proportionally within that class. Holders will be able to withdraw their securities until the offer expires.
The company has suspended purchases under its existing stock repurchase program and will not buy shares outside the tender offer until at least 10 business days after its expiration.

Topic 90 asks machine learning models to forecast three-minute returns on Hyperliquid perpetual futures, with no fixed asset list
Allora’s Forge platform has opened a new prediction topic built around Hyperliquid, and it comes with an unusual twist: there is no fixed list of assets.
The Hyperliquid Log Return topic, designated topic 90, went live on October 8, 2026. It asks AI and machine learning models to forecast three-minute log returns across Hyperliquid’s perpetual futures markets, with the set of markets rebuilt every round.
How topic 90 actually works
Topic 90 works differently from static prediction setups. The market set for each round is assembled dynamically, based on what models choose to submit.
Each submission is capped at 100 keys. A key, in this context, is essentially a market the model wants to weigh in on.
Zeros are treated as the default and dropped from the registry. So a model that has no opinion on a given market simply leaves it out, rather than padding its entry with empty guesses.
The target itself is a three-minute base-10 log return. A log return measures how much a price moved over a window, expressed as a logarithm of the ending price divided by the starting price.

To settle who was right, Allora pulls ground truth from Hyperliquid’s one-minute candle data through its Atlas platform.
The scoring system punishes fence-sitting
Allora’s answer to zero-padding is the CZAR loss function, short for Composite Zero-Agnostic Return. It is designed to reward forecasts that actually take a directional stance and to penalize predictions that hedge toward nothing.

Models are assessed on several criteria, including directional accuracy and correlation with realized returns.
The bar for graduating is also explicit. To move to mainnet, a model must pass seven statistical tests per topic and worker.
One of those tests requires the lower confidence bound on directional accuracy to sit above 50%. That means a model has to show, with statistical confidence, that it beats a coin flip at calling direction.
Forge, Hyperliquid and the bigger picture
Forge functions as a competitive arena where models build reputations through testing. According to the research findings, more than 2,000 models are already active on the platform.
Those models are spread across 18 topics. The Hyperliquid Log Return topic joins others focused on price, volatility and commodity forecasts.
Hyperliquid is a high-performance Layer 1 blockchain optimized for perpetual futures and spot trading. Its HyperCore infrastructure handles order matching and liquidations.
Notably, the launch does not introduce a new token or any new trading mechanism. It is a model-performance play: a new arena with new rules, aimed at the people building predictive systems rather than the people trading on Hyperliquid directly.
What this means for model builders and traders
The dynamic market set is the most interesting design choice here. By letting models pick their own markets, up to 100 at a time, Forge shifts some of the strategy from “how good is your forecast” to “where are you confident enough to forecast at all.”
The CZAR loss function and the seven-test mainnet gate address a credibility problem common in AI prediction projects. Requiring a directional accuracy lower bound above 50% forces models to demonstrate an edge, not just low error.

dcex - DEX & CEX trading library
English | 繁體中文
dcex is a Rust-backed exchange library with synchronous and asynchronous Python clients and a standalone Rust crate. It covers market data, account queries, order APIs, and public and private WebSocket streams.
Broker codes: dcex does not set or attach a broker code or broker tag by default. You can specify one explicitly when the exchange API supports it.
Forked from krex, a simplified version of the ccxt Python library.
Installation
Python:
pip install dcex # or, in a uv-managed project: uv add dcex
Rust:
cargo add dcex
Key features
Synchronous and asynchronous Python HTTP clients, plus public and private WebSocket clients.
HTTP, WebSocket, and signing APIs for direct use from Rust.
A Product Table Manager (PTM) that normalizes exchange symbols and trading specifications.
Support for multiple CEX and DEX platforms; available endpoints vary by exchange.
Documented withdrawal, market-maker and partner endpoints are in scope; current coverage and specification gaps are recorded in the endpoint ledger. API withdrawals have no second confirmation; they execute on submit. Trading API keys should not have withdrawal permission. PTM includes listed options from Binance, Bybit, and OKX; option trading remains exchange-specific.
Supported exchanges
Exchange HTTP Sync HTTP Async WS Public WS Private Binance Yes Yes Yes Yes Bybit Yes Yes Yes Yes OKX Yes Yes Yes Yes Bitget Yes Yes Yes Yes Kraken Yes Yes Yes Yes MEXC Yes Yes Yes Yes BingX Yes Yes Yes Yes KuCoin Yes Yes Yes Yes Hyperliquid Yes Yes Yes Yes Lighter (Mainnet + Robinhood) Yes Yes Yes Yes Backpack Yes Yes Yes Yes Aster Yes Yes Yes Yes Extended Yes Yes Yes Yes Ondo Yes Yes Yes Yes Arcus Yes Yes Yes Yes
Bitget began migrating accounts to UTA on 2026-09-15. Classic-account private endpoints that Bitget rejects for UTA accounts (error 40085) have been removed; public market-data, tax and institutional-loan endpoints that still work remain. Use a UTA account for trading. See the official UTA upgrade guide and account settings.
Private WebSocket support includes authenticated or address-scoped user-data streams. Trading WebSocket APIs are available for Binance, Bybit, Bitget, OKX, KuCoin and Kraken Spot; Hyperliquid and Lighter accept signed actions, and Arcus provides signed request construction. Lighter Mainnet and Robinhood use separate credential profiles; select the network per client (Mainnet is the default); see .env.example and the Lighter examples. Ondo spot currently supports only public market data (depth, trades, symbol_info, history and WS spot channels); Ondo has not published its spot trading API, so private operations such as placing or cancelling orders with a -SPOT symbol fail locally without sending a request.
Endpoint coverage, limitations and verification.
Python quick start
Synchronous HTTP:
import dcex client = dcex . binance () print ( client . get_klines ( product_symbol = "BTC-USDT-SWAP" , interval = "1m" ))
Asynchronous HTTP:
import asyncio import dcex.async_support as dcex async def main (): client = await dcex . binance () try : print ( await client . get_klines ( product_symbol = "BTC-USDT-SWAP" , interval = "1m" )) finally : await client . close () asyncio . run ( main ())
Additional profiles cover Binance Alpha, Aster Prediction, KuCoin Classic/Pro and Kraken Spot V1. Bitget SBE returns raw binary frames for caller-side decoding.
Public WebSocket:
import asyncio from dcex.ws import binance async def main (): async with binance . public () as ws : await ws . subscribe_agg_trades ( "BTC-USDT-SPOT" ) print ( await ws . recv ()) asyncio . run ( main ())
Product Table Manager
PTM maps normalized product_symbol values, such as BTC-USDT-SWAP , to exchange-native exchange_symbol values and exposes trading metadata. Clients use this mapping where applicable.
Product product_symbol Example Spot BASE-QUOTE-SPOT BTC-USDT-SPOT Perpetual BASE-QUOTE-SWAP BTC-USDT-SWAP Dated futures BASE-QUOTE-YYMMDD-FUTURES (UTC delivery date) BTC-USD-261225-FUTURES
Fields Meaning exchange , product_symbol , exchange_symbol Exchange and normalized/native symbols product_type , exchange_type Normalized and exchange-specific market types base_currency , quote_currency Product currencies price_precision , size_precision Price and size increments min_size , min_notional Minimum size and notional size_per_contract Contract multiplier
Binance and BingX coin-margined contracts sit in their own exchange namespaces, binance_coinm and bingx_coinm (for example BTC-USD-SWAP ), so they never collide with USDT-margined products; their coin-margined methods resolve symbols there.
from dcex.product_table.manager import ProductTableManager table = ProductTableManager . get_instance ( "binance" ) print ( table . get_exchange_symbol ( "binance" , "BTC-USDT-SWAP" )) print ( table . get_product_symbol ( "binance" , "BTCUSDT" , product_type = "swap" )) print ( table . rows ()[ 0 ])
Hyperliquid loads its first perp DEX, spot and every builder-deployed (HIP-3) perp DEX by default. Pass perp_dexs to load only the builder DEXs you trade; names come from get_perp_dexs , unknown names are rejected, and asset ids stay the same as with the full table:
from dcex.hyperliquid import Client client = Client ( perp_dexs = [ "xyz" ]) table = ProductTableManager . get_instance ( "hyperliquid" , perp_dexs = [ "xyz" ])
Lighter nonces
Every Lighter transaction method accepts nonce . Without it, dcex asks the exchange for the next nonce, which costs one request per transaction. Trading systems usually keep the nonce themselves:
Read the starting value once per API key with get_next_nonce(api_key_index=...) .
. Increment it locally and pass nonce= with each transaction, holding a lock if several tasks share the key.
with each transaction, holding a lock if several tasks share the key. After a failed transaction or a nonce error, read get_next_nonce again; a rejected transaction may not consume its nonce.
again; a rejected transaction may not consume its nonce. Give each process its own api_key_index so their nonces never collide.
More examples and development
Runnable examples are in Python sync, Python async and WebSocket, and Rust. They focus on public data or read-only account queries. Private HTTP examples require credentials; private stream examples require credentials or a user address.
uv run python examples/sync/binance_public.py uv run python examples/async/binance_ws_public.py cargo run -p dcex --example binance_ws_public
For direct Rust usage, see the crate README. The default test suite runs offline with uv run pytest ; live suites are opt-in. See the contributing guide for development and testing details.

The third-generation custom inference chip is expected to roll out at scale in 2027 as Microsoft works to lean less on Nvidia
Microsoft wants to run more of its AI on chips it designed itself. On October 12, 2026, the company unveiled the Azure Maia 300, its third-generation custom AI inference chip.
The plan is to deploy it at scale in Azure data centers beginning in 2027. That puts Microsoft on a path toward owning more of the hardware behind Copilot.
Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella isn’t underselling it.
“Our biggest bet yet on our own silicon.”
What the Maia 300 is built to do
The Maia 300 is built for inference workloads such as conversational AI and long-context reasoning, where a model has to digest large amounts of text before responding.
Under the hood, the chip uses a chiplet architecture built on TSMC’s N2P process node.
The Maia 300 is reported to deliver 40% more tokens per megawatt than current leading GPU solutions and provides up to 7x the throughput of its predecessor, the Maia 200.
Where Maia fits in Microsoft’s lineup
The Maia 200 is already operational in data centers across the US, Europe, and Australia, supporting Microsoft 365 Copilot and GitHub Copilot.

The Maia 300 is meant to go further. Microsoft aims for it to serve as the core inference system for Copilot experiences, GitHub Copilot, and various models built by OpenAI and Microsoft itself.
The longer-term goal is for Maia to become the primary AI inference system across Microsoft’s products and services. If that happens, the company expects margins to improve over time.
Microsoft’s capital expenditure plans exceed $175 billion annually, and Maia is expected to account for only around 10% of Microsoft’s AI chip spending by early 2027.
Why Microsoft is building its own chips
Custom silicon offers a way to trim that bill. Estimates suggest the shift toward Maia could produce multi-billion-dollar savings, though those benefits are expected to build slowly rather than arrive all at once.
What this means for Nvidia, AMD, and the chip market
Nvidia and AMD aren’t getting written out of the story. Microsoft continues to invest in third-party solutions from both, and those partnerships are expected to remain critical, especially for AI training.
The Maia 300’s reliance on TSMC’s N2P node shows the foundry stays in the picture whether AI chips come from Nvidia or from a hyperscaler’s in-house team.
The things to watch are concrete: how quickly Maia 300 deployments ramp in 2027, whether the chip’s share of Microsoft’s AI spending climbs beyond the expected 10%, and whether margin improvements start showing up in the company’s results.

The XRP treasury company appointed its chief investment officer the same day its shares began trading on Nasdaq.
Most corporate crypto treasuries follow a simple playbook: buy the coin, hold the coin, then spend earnings calls explaining the coin. Evernorth Holdings wants a more hands-on approach.
The XRP-focused company named Hugo Jeandesboz as its chief investment officer on October 12, 2026. That was the same day its shares started trading on Nasdaq under the ticker XRPN.
His mandate covers the company’s treasury and its XRP holdings.
The new CIO and the war chest
Evernorth arrived on public markets holding approximately 473 million XRP. At current prices, that position is worth about $672 million.
The company also brought $300 million in cash, measured before expenses.

Jeandesboz joins from Coinbase Asset Management. There, he managed investment strategies for institutional clients and led derivatives trading.
He has more than a decade of experience in institutional trading.

The company intends to put its holdings to work through lending, liquidity provision, and yield strategies. The stated aim is to increase the value of XRP backing each share.
How Evernorth got here
The Nasdaq listing followed a SPAC merger with Armada Acquisition Corp. II, which closed on October 9, 2026.
The investor roster includes Ripple, Arrington Capital, SBI Group, Pantera Capital, Kraken, and GSR.
Total transaction value exceeded $1 billion. That figure includes both the XRP stockpile and the cash that came along with it.
With its current holdings, Evernorth sits just outside the top 20 publicly traded corporate holders of digital assets by value.
What this means for XRP and corporate treasuries
Evernorth’s strategy is a break from the passive model that dominates corporate digital asset holdings. Most of those companies treat their tokens as a long-term store of value and leave them untouched.
That difference matters for anyone weighing XRPN against simply buying XRP directly. If active management works, the stock could offer a growing XRP-per-share figure that holding the token alone cannot provide.
The trade-off is risk. Lending creates exposure to borrowers who may not pay back, and providing liquidity carries its own market risks.
For institutional investors, Evernorth may offer regulated, exchange-listed exposure to XRP with an active yield component.
