$50 billion flew into crypto assets this year. The data suggests increasing customer participation, indicating the broader market is on the brink of a breakout.
Over $50 billion has moved into the wider cryptocurrency market this year, according to a JPMorgan report released on Friday. The JPMorgan research team said the inflows have reached $50 billion so far this year.
The $50 billion inflow YTD supported by institutions
As per the report, crypto assets have pulled in $50 billion in capital inflows this year (year-to-date). This record puts the market on an annualized rate of $66 billion, now higher than the $52 billion pace seen in May. The rise suggests investor demand is expanding beyond institutional treasury purchases and venture funding that drove the first six months of the year.
In the early months of 2026, Strategy’s strong Bitcoin buying and crypto venture capital investment drove most of the market’s fresh money inflows. However, the report found that crypto ETFs suppressed capital inflows because of massive withdrawals in May and June. Nevertheless, that momentum shifted in August, as ETF participation bounced back and optimism returned in the third quarter, the data noted.
Q4 market outlook and breakout signal
The JPMorgan report also noted a substantial shift in Q3, as both ETF capital inflows and futures contracts (held by market participants) expanded. As JPMorgan analysts noted, heavy ETF inflows and futures positioning (seen in Q3) are fueling stronger enthusiasm as the market enters Q4. This is evidenced by increased engagement from both institutional investors and individual clients, a larger customer base than the corporate treasury purchasing activity seen in the first half of the year.
This final quarter of 2026 could be one of the most significant periods for the digital asset market this year, the JPMorgan report hinted. Bitcoin and Ether entered Q4 with a strong-third quarter recovery. This is reflected in institutional money returning, altcoins attracting capital, stablecoin applications continuing to rise, and tokenized traditional assets moving closer to on-chain markets. These catalysts make the fourth quarter an interesting season as Bitcoin battles for $90,000.
The crypto market shows robust structural resilience as it navigates through October. Bitcoin remains firm around $83,000, Ethereum trades steadily above $2,500, and Solana shows strong momentum above $109. These green performances suggest rising institutional appetite and improving macro liquidity. Together, they suggest the broader crypto market is on the verge of a major breakout as it enters the final quarter of the year.

SEC’s Token Offering Exemptions Enter Final Comment Days as Agencies Rebuild Crypto Market Structure

The public comment window on Regulation Crypto Assets closes October 20. The first purpose-built federal offering regime for crypto assets is sitting in front of the people who want to change it, and after that date the frame hardens around whatever is on the table.
The proposal is narrow and specific. Issued by the Securities and Exchange Commission on August 18, after a canceled open meeting and a seriatim vote, and published in the Federal Register on August 21, Regulation Crypto Assets creates two exemptions from Securities Act registration. A startup exemption permits offerings up to $5 million over four years, once per asset per issuer. A fundraising exemption permits up to $20 million or $75 million per twelve months, the higher tier requiring audited financials and SEC qualification before any sale, both carrying a U.S.-nexus test that excludes the offshore foundation structures many existing projects use. Disclosure runs through a principles-based framework written for token projects rather than operating companies: token economics and allocation, governance mechanics including smart contract permissions, code security, and the essential managerial efforts the issuer promises and must later show it has finished.
The Safe Harbor
The design choice with the longest reach is the safe harbor. An issuer that completes or permanently ceases all promised managerial efforts can self-certify on a Form TR, and the token stops being part of an investment contract. The security is the arrangement, not the asset; the rules contemplate the arrangement ending while the asset keeps trading. The exit is a factual condition, not a clock, and the filing is a representation, not immunity. No staff review of the certification is contemplated.
The CFTC’s Move
Set beside it is the other half of the picture. On October 5, the Commodity Futures Trading Commission published an advance notice for Regulation Crypto Asset Transactions and Regulation Crypto Asset Markets, its plan to bring retail crypto transactions that are leveraged, margined, or financed onto registered venues through a purpose-built exchange category. Chairman Michael Selig called the notice “a critical step in the CFTC’s ongoing efforts to ensure America remains the crypto capital of the world,” grounding the rulemaking in “President Trump’s directive to propose a federal crypto asset regulatory market structure using the CFTC’s existing statutory authorities.”
That is the structural story. Since the Clarity Act failed a cloture vote 49-50 on September 15, after passing the House 294-134 in July 2025 and clearing Senate Banking in May 2026, the market structure Congress could not pass is being assembled agency by agency: offering rules at the SEC in August, exchange rules at the CFTC in October. Each piece is built from the authority each agency already holds, which shapes what it can do. The CFTC can require on-exchange trading where leverage or financing touches a retail customer; comprehensive registration of spot venues still needs the legislation Congress has not passed. The SEC can open a capital-raising path, and its proposal deliberately leaves the registration status of exchanges, brokers, dealers, and clearing agencies undecided.
The Durability Question
The durability question is the one the agencies themselves are raising. SEC Chairman Paul Atkins, supporting the proposal, said that “legislation remains indispensable to enacting ‘future-proofed’ rules of the road.” A statute endures; a rule endures only until it is revisited, and rules finalized inside the Congressional Review Act’s window can be unwound by a simple majority of a new Congress. The incentive runs in both directions. Finalize fast and risk reversal. Finalize late and the framework may outlast any attempt to legislate around it.
Who Absorbs the Cost
Who absorbs the cost of the patchwork is already visible in the text. States lose blue-sky registration authority over offerings made under the exemptions and keep only their antifraud reach; the secondary-market preemption continues only while the issuer stays current on filings, a status third parties cannot readily verify. Retail investors gain access at scale but face a 10% income-or-net-worth investment cap and bad-actor disqualification. Projects on offshore foundation structures are excluded outright. Platforms and asset managers inherit the judgment calls the rule leaves open, including whether the tokens they list rest on issuers whose filings are still current.
After October 20
The comment window is where eligibility, certification mechanics, and resale treatment still bend. After October 20 they stop bending. Whether agency action can substitute for legislation or merely produces its own fragmentation is no longer an academic question; it is being decided in dockets while Congress is out of session, with reintroduction of the Clarity Act possible as early as January 2027.

Solana’s Command of More Than 50% of Crypto Transactions Continues as Price Eyes a Pullback

Solana’s quest to dominate blockchain activity shows no signs of relenting, according to on-chain metrics provider Solana Sensei, which reports the network has accounted for more than 50% of daily total crypto transactions over the past five months.
Source: Blockworks
This momentum has gained steam to the point that Solana recently processed roughly twice as many transactions as all other major chains combined, reflecting growing demand for its ecosystem and its ability to handle substantial transaction volumes.
Will Solana’s Major Support Hold?
On the price action front, Solana is navigating an important technical level, with market analyst Wealthmanager pointing out that the 7th-largest cryptocurrency by market cap is pulling back toward a support zone that ought to be given a keen eye.
Source: Wealthmanager
After reaching a high of $126, SOL has formed a series of lower highs and is now drifting toward the same support area.
Per CoinGecko data, Solana is trading at $118, putting it in a critical position: if it defends the support zone, the broader bullish structure will remain intact and could give buyers another chance to push the price higher.
Nevertheless, a decisive breakdown could set up a deeper correction.
On the other hand, attention is also turning toward Solana’s $100 support wall since more than 40 million SOL have changed hands around this price region, making it a delicate demand zone.
Therefore, the $100-$118 region could determine whether the current pullback becomes a healthy reset or the beginning of a deeper correction.
Meanwhile, leading meme coin Shiba Inu (SHIB) recently went live on Solana, creating new opportunities for liquidity, users, and trading activity across the blockchain. This development was significant: SHIB’s trading volume surged 199%, reflecting heightened interest in the expansion.

Eleven years in crypto is not simply an anniversary. It means navigating multiple boom-and-bust cycles, changing asset narratives, exchange failures, and the growing convergence between traditional finance and onchain markets.
At its 11-year mark, LBank reports more than 30 million registered users and $23.81 billion in daily trading volume. In an exclusive interview with Bitcoinist, Eric He, LBank’s Community Angel & Risk Management Advisor, looks beyond the next hot token to discuss a more consequential question: how an exchange can balance speed, access, security, and durable trust as the market becomes more complex.
Q. LBank is marking its 11th anniversary. Looking back, what is the most important principle the company has learned—not the biggest growth number?
Eric He: A ship is safest in port, but that is not what ships are built for. In favorable markets, any platform can talk about growth. The real test comes when volatility rises and confidence is fragile: can the platform keep operating reliably, and can it keep risk management ahead of volume?
Over eleven years, what users expect from an exchange has changed. Early on, the questions were simple: Is the asset available? Can I trade it? Today, users also ask whether liquidity is real, whether listings are handled with discipline, how their assets are protected, and whether the platform helps them navigate a more complicated market.
That is why we have kept evolving our product and infrastructure rather than treating an anniversary as a static milestone. This year, LBank surpassed 30 million registered users globally. To me, that is not a finish line. It represents 30 million individual choices across regions, languages, levels of experience, and risk appetites. The number that matters most is whether they choose to stay with LBank through the next market cycle.
Q. Competition among exchanges is moving beyond who lists assets fastest toward who can support more trading use cases. What role should LBank play in this next phase?
Eric He: Aristotle wrote that excellence is not an act, but a habit. An exchange should not be just a page that brings buyers and sellers together. Across asset discovery, trade execution, and risk decisions, it should help users build better trading habits over time.
The exchange used to be mainly a gateway. Going forward, it needs to be more like disciplined trading infrastructure: responsive to crypto-native opportunities, while giving users better liquidity, better tools, and clearer risk context. For LBank, that means advancing three things at once: staying close to emerging crypto narratives, expanding access to assets connected to the real economy, and continuing to improve risk controls and trading experience.
We do not believe more features automatically create more value. The objective is to give users a coherent path. They may begin with assets they already understand, then—once they understand the rules and risks—access tokenized U.S. equities, stablecoin-related products, or other eligible asset classes. The measure of success is not whether a feature exists, but whether users genuinely use it.
Q. At the 11-year milestone, what achievements best represent where LBank is today? Which metrics do you want the market to pay attention to?
Eric He: The most meaningful achievements are not isolated peaks. They are a set of indicators showing that users continue to choose the platform and that the platform itself is becoming more capable.
This year, LBank reached 30 million registered users and $23.81 billion in daily trading volume. In 2026, spot trading volume reached $16 billion, while total trading volume reached $23.81 billion. More importantly, growth is not coming from one market alone. Our monthly TradFi trading volume reached $3 billion, while LBank ranked first for stock-market depth in the relevant market data. LBank Stock market share peaked at 27.32%, and U.S. stock spot market share was reported at a 340% premium to the top-10 average.
The product data matters, too. Copy trading has reached $15 billion in capital, LBank Cash has processed more than 10 million transactions, and BK Genie has served more than 1.5 million traders. We have allocated $70 million in total rewards, with $15 million in cumulative Earn subscriptions and $55 million distributed through Token Splash and airdrops. Sixteen listed assets have delivered gains of more than 100x.
None of these figures is a value judgment by itself. Together, they should answer a more useful question: Is growth rooted in real trading demand, durable liquidity, and products that people actually use—not simply short-term incentives?
Q. As tokenized U.S. equities become a new battleground for exchanges, what is LBank’s core competitive advantage in this market?
Eric He: Partnerships and distribution can create a market entry point quickly. But long-term competitiveness depends on whether users can execute high-quality trades once they arrive. We do not see tokenized equities as another category to fill on a product shelf. We see them as an upgrade to what an exchange can offer: a path between crypto and traditional assets that can operate around the clock, with real liquidity and clear risk boundaries.
LBank’s first advantage is execution quality. It is not enough for an asset to be technically tradable. In a BeInCrypto market-depth report, LBank ranked first for U.S. stock spot trading depth. For HOOD-related pairs, HOODON order-book depth was 4.42 times that of Gate, HOODX was 2.23 times Gate’s, and HOODB depth was 22.8% higher than Binance’s. That matters because it shows users can do more than see tokenized equities listed; they can trade them in a market with deeper, more actionable liquidity.
The second advantage is how these assets connect to the rest of the platform. Through initiatives involving xStocks, Ondo Finance, and bStocks, we are expanding the range of assets users can access. But we are equally focused on what follows: effective price discovery, a clear understanding of asset structure, and continuity across market hours. Tokenized equities should connect with crypto-native liquidity, trading tools, and education—not sit in an isolated tab.
Our monthly TradFi volume has reached $3 billion, which signals real demand for around-the-clock, cross-market access. But this market must be built on transparency, regional availability, asset mapping, liquidity, and clear risk disclosures. Users should understand exactly what they are trading, as well as the rights and risks involved.
Q. LBank has partnered with several IPs in recent years, most notably Pudgy Penguins. Decrypt has also described LBank as a more youth-oriented exchange. What is the strategic logic behind this IP approach, and what does “youth-oriented” actually mean to you?
Eric He: Being youth-oriented is not about using brighter colors or repackaging FOMO. It is about understanding how a new generation discovers assets, forms identity, participates in communities, and makes sense of complex financial ideas.
Crypto has never been just a price chart. For younger, culturally fluent users, a community, a character, or a shared language can be the entry point to a new narrative. That is the context for our partnership with Pudgy Penguins. It is not a simple logo collaboration. Pudgy Penguins is a cultural asset that Web3-native communities already understand. The collaboration helps make something abstract—liquidity—more tangible. Liquidity is not only a number on an order book; it can be understood, shared, and connected to a collective memory.
But culture is not a substitute for product. IP can lower the barrier to attention and participation. The exchange still has to deliver liquidity, product quality, risk disclosures, and reliable asset protection. We want younger users to enter LBank with their own interests and way of expressing themselves, rather than asking them to fit a standardized trader profile. That is the real meaning of this year’s anniversary theme, “Come As You Are”: preserve individual difference while providing every user with clear choices and the same baseline of protection.
Q. AI is no longer a standalone sector—it is becoming a structural force across markets. With companies such as Anthropic and OpenAI widely seen as potential IPO candidates, capital markets, technology narratives, and crypto are converging. How could this reshape asset supply, user decision-making, and risk management for exchanges? How is LBank preparing?
Eric He: AI has moved beyond being another market theme. It is changing productivity, capital allocation, and how information is distributed at the same time. If leading AI companies eventually reach public markets through IPOs or other routes, users will not only be looking at an AI-themed token. They will be trying to understand different risks and opportunities generated by the same technology cycle across public equities, tokenized assets, and crypto-native networks.
That changes three capabilities an exchange needs. First, asset supply: exchanges need to support credible AI-related crypto assets and, where regulations allow, provide paths to tokenized technology exposure. But “AI” cannot become an excuse to lower listing standards. Second, user decision-making: when narratives travel faster than research, platforms should help users separate technological value, commercialization progress, liquidity, and pure sentiment rather than amplify the noise. Third, risk management: AI can improve threat detection, anomaly monitoring, anti-phishing efforts, and market surveillance. Yet AI-driven automation can also magnify errors, manipulation, and information asymmetry if governance does not keep pace.
For LBank, the work runs on two tracks. Externally, we are following the asset and cross-market trading demand created by the AI cycle, including broader technology exposure where products are available in compliant jurisdictions. Internally, we are applying AI to market intelligence, product support, and risk identification—particularly to identify unusual fund flows, account behavior, and emerging attack signals more quickly.
The boundary is clear: AI can make information more available, but it cannot make investment decisions for users. It can accelerate risk response, but it cannot replace transparent rules, human review, and accountability. The system worth building is not an “AI trader” that bets for users, but one that helps them see more clearly, trade with more discipline, and protect their assets more effectively.
Q. After exchange failures, asset misappropriation, and increasingly sophisticated attacks, what specific steps is LBank taking to strengthen security?
Eric He: Security cannot be reduced to “trust us.” It is a system that has to work under pressure. The industry has learned that an exchange can only provide liquidity, execution, and global access when asset protection and risk governance are credible first.
At LBank, security is a platform-wide responsibility, not a single team’s task. At the infrastructure layer, we continue to strengthen cold- and hot-wallet segregation, multi-layer authorization, abnormal-behavior monitoring, real-time risk alerts, and incident-response mechanisms. On the user side, the goal is to make protection more visible at critical risk moments without creating unnecessary friction in ordinary use.
This year, we also launched the Crypto Resilience Initiative, with CertiK and SlowMist participating. The initiative is not about adding a one-off scan or borrowing credibility from a third party. It is about moving security from post-incident response toward long-term resilience through continuous monitoring, shared threat intelligence, incident-response exercises, and user security education. The objective is to improve both prevention and recovery when new attack methods or extreme market conditions emerge.
AI is an important layer in that effort. We are strengthening AI-assisted risk identification and behavioral analysis to detect suspicious fund flows, account anomalies, phishing activity, and attack signals earlier. But AI is not a magic word that can replace governance. It has to work alongside human security teams, defined response processes, and outside expertise. We do not promise “absolute security.” We are building defenses that can keep evolving and can be tested.
Q. How do you see the market developing from here? After rallies and pullbacks, why do you remain constructive on crypto?
Eric He: I would not frame short-term price moves as a certainty. Crypto will remain volatile. Macro liquidity, rate expectations, regulation, technology cycles, and market sentiment can all change prices quickly. But if the question is whether I remain constructive on crypto’s long-term direction, the answer is yes. I am, at heart, a crypto believer.
That conviction is not based on the idea that prices only move higher. It comes from the fact that infrastructure and real demand are deepening at the same time. Stablecoins are changing cross-border settlement and onchain capital efficiency. Tokenized assets are making more real-world value accessible in flexible ways. AI is creating new productivity and data-coordination use cases. And the demand for always-on, cross-border, verifiable financial services has not disappeared.
Every pullback removes some speculation, but it also forces the industry to build stronger products, better compliance practices, and more resilient security. I see market cycles as stress tests, not tests of belief. The market can rise or fall in the short term; the longer-term direction will depend on whether the industry can turn technical advantages into real, credible, and durable user value. LBank’s role is not to call every turning point. It is to provide liquidity, tools, risk management, and access to emerging asset classes through every cycle.
Q. What behavioral advice would you offer traders in the current market?
Eric He: I would rather talk about discipline than specific tokens or entry points. Crypto rewards sustained learning, but it punishes people who treat emotion as a strategy.
First, understand the asset and the product you are trading—especially more complex products such as leverage, perpetual futures, and tokenized assets. Second, define what you can afford to lose before deciding your position size, not the other way around. Third, do not let social-media momentum replace research. A trend can be a useful signal to investigate, but it should not become your conclusion. Finally, set a time horizon and an exit condition before volatility forces you to rewrite your own rules.
I remain bullish on the industry, but believing in an industry is not the same as believing in every trade. A mature trader is not someone who captures every rally. It is someone who can still be in the game when they are wrong. The platform’s role is to provide transparent information, sufficient liquidity, clear risk disclosures, and reliable tools. Each investment decision should remain independent and appropriate to the user’s own circumstances; where needed, users should consult a licensed professional.
Q. In your anniversary letter, you outlined four coordinates for the future: globalization, security, user-centricity, and a “super-ecosystem.” Why these four?
Eric He: I am cautious about end-state predictions. In an industry that is continually repriced, saying “I don’t know” is not a lack of direction. It means we do not confuse imagination with certainty. That is exactly why we need coordinates that do not shift with every short-term narrative.
First, globalization. Real globalization is not translating the same press release into twenty languages. It means that a user in a small Latin American town or on a street corner in Southeast Asia can access the same baseline of trust and liquidity.
Second, security. It is not a line in a whitepaper. It is a disciplined respect for risk. In this market, risk management must always move faster than greed.
Third, user-centricity. Complexity should stay inside our systems, while the user receives a simpler, smoother experience and more tangible protection.
Finally, what we call the super-ecosystem: connecting the asset flows of traditional finance, the raw energy of crypto, and the community value of IP so they reinforce each other rather than sit in silos. These four coordinates do not guarantee that every short-term call will be right. They help us keep our direction when the tide goes out.
Q. Eleven years from now, how would you like users to describe LBank?
Eric He: We do not want users to remember LBank only because it listed a particular hot asset or ran a single campaign. We want them to think of LBank when they enter a fast-moving market and need opportunity, useful tools, and a platform that respects risk.
If users come to see LBank as a place that understands crypto-native culture, brings a wider world of assets into a clear trading experience, and can be trusted when it matters, then the last eleven years will have meant something. An anniversary is not the finish line. It is the next page in the work of proving that.

Mutsamudu, Comoros, October 12, 2026 – MEXC, a pioneer in 0-fee digital asset trading, concluded its TOKEN2049 Singapore presence with a series of interactive experiences and industry discussions spanning TradFi access, AI-powered trading and the future evolution of global trading platforms.
MEXC’s presence centered on three key areas: the MEXC Stage and a panel featuring MEXC CEO Vugar Usi Zade and Payward Co-CEO Arjun Sethi, hands-on AI experiences including the MEXC AI Trading Challenge powered by MEXC CLI and the AI Bond Test, and The NEXT Newspaper, an interactive experience that brought insights around TradFi, AI and the future of investing into a more engaging community format.
Thousands of participants joined MEXC’s on-site activities during the event, reflecting strong interest in both AI-enabled trading and broader access to traditional financial markets. Across the booth and the MEXC Stage, these themes came together around a broader question: how trading platforms can become more connected, accessible and intelligent as crypto and traditional finance continue to converge.
Exploring AI Through Hands-On Experiences
AI was one of the most visible themes across the MEXC booth.
Through the MEXC AI Trading Challenge, visitors experienced how natural-language instructions, AI agents and MEXC CLI can work together to move trading ideas more directly from analysis to action. The experience demonstrated how users can express what they want to do in everyday language, while AI agents supported by MEXC CLI connect those intentions with MEXC trading capabilities.
Alongside the trading experience, the AI Bond Test offered a more playful way for visitors to explore their relationship with AI, including how they use, trust and interact with AI in everyday decision-making.
Together, the two activities reflected growing interest not only in AI as an information or research tool, but also in how it could become a more natural part of the broader trading experience.
Bringing TradFi Insights Into the Community
Traditional financial markets were another major area of interest at TOKEN2049.
Through The NEXT Newspaper, MEXC transformed research insights around AI, trading and global markets into an interactive experience. Visitors could personalize their own newspaper with their photo and predictions about the future of investing, creating a bridge between research, market trends and community participation.
The activation reflected a broader shift in retail investing as users increasingly look beyond crypto toward stocks, commodities and other traditional financial assets, while expecting to access these opportunities through more seamless digital platforms.
From Crypto-TradFi Convergence to Platform Collaboration
These themes also extended to the MEXC Stage, where MEXC CEO Vugar Usi Zade joined Payward Co-CEO Arjun Sethi.
The panel explored how crypto and traditional finance are moving toward a more connected, always-on financial environment, and how retail demand could help drive the evolution toward platforms that provide access across multiple asset classes.
Arjun highlighted the infrastructure needed to support this evolution, noting that the promise of 24/7 markets ultimately depends on connecting assets and collateral more effectively.
Collaboration was another key theme. Arjun pointed to partnerships as an important part of reaching more global users, specifically referencing MEXC as an example of a platform that could help partners succeed in their respective core markets. Vugar similarly highlighted how platforms can build on different strengths across infrastructure, market access and retail distribution rather than approaching every opportunity purely through competition.
AI also featured in the discussion as part of the longer-term evolution of trading. Vugar noted that AI can help retail users process large amounts of information more efficiently and convert insights into action, while increasingly agentic tools could further change how users interact with financial platforms.
From hands-on AI experiences to TradFi engagement and conversations about the future of market infrastructure, MEXC’s TOKEN2049 presence reflected a broader direction for trading: more connected markets, broader access and increasingly intelligent ways for users to participate.
For more highlights from TOKEN2049 Singapore, watch the event recap video.

Median weekend-day trading in tokenized stocks on Solana grew roughly 23-fold between July and September as traders kept going after Wall Street closed
The stock market closes on Friday afternoon. A growing number of traders apparently did not get the memo.
The median weekend-day trading volume for xStocks-issued tokenized stocks rose from $2.4 million in July to $55.2 million in September. That works out to roughly a 23-fold increase in two months, all on days when the New York Stock Exchange sits dark.
What is driving the weekend surge
xStocks is a tokenized equities platform from Backed Finance, which is associated with Kraken parent Payward. It issues SPL tokens, the standard token format on the Solana blockchain. Each token is backed 1:1 by a US stock or ETF.
Most of the trading happens on decentralized exchanges (DEXs) such as Raydium. DEXs are software-run marketplaces with no opening bell and no closing bell.
Raydium accounted for approximately 75% of xStocks trading activity. One venue handling three of every four trades is a concentration worth noting, and it makes Raydium the de facto weekend stock exchange for this ecosystem.

The flagship product is SPYx, which tracks the S&P 500 ETF.
The numbers behind the growth
The weekend jump is part of a broader acceleration. xStocks passed $1 billion in 30-day DEX volume by September 15, an increase of 1,011.8% month-over-month.

The most traded assets on the platform break down like this:
SPYx: $318.4 million
$318.4 million CRCLx: $146.7 million
$146.7 million NVDAx: $74.1 million
$74.1 million AAPLx: $53 million
$53 million SPCXx: $49.9 million
Tokenized equities generated $3.96 billion in weekend DEX volume in September. That figure represents a 106x increase from the previous November.
Total value locked (TVL) in tokenized equities grew from $21.6 million in January to $289 million by September.
Background: why weekends matter
Traditional stock trading follows business hours. US exchanges run on weekdays and close for weekends and holidays. When something significant breaks on a Saturday, conventional investors have to wait until Monday morning to act.
xStocks is not the only player. It operates alongside bStocks on platforms such as Uniswap and PancakeSwap, which widens the set of venues where tokenized shares can change hands.
What this means for traders and the market
Concentration risk is the second thing to watch. With Raydium handling around 75% of activity, the health of xStocks trading depends heavily on one protocol.
Looking ahead, average monthly volumes for tokenized equities are projected to land between $7.9 billion and $18 billion by year-end.

BTC price support holds ahead of US CPI data: Three things Bitcoin traders need to know this week

Bitcoin (BTC) starts the third week of October by defending support at $82,500 ahead of key US inflation data.
Key points:
US CPI print on Wednesday and PPI data on Thursday provides the week’s major risk-asset volatility catalyst, with markets seeing CPI at 3.7% year-on-year.
Oil prices react to the US plan to buy Russian diesel, but WTI crude heads higher after dropping below $90 per barrel on Monday.
Bitcoin seals a weekly close above key support at $82,500, avoiding a drop into its previous 2026 macro range between $60,000 and $80,000.
Markets see September inflation creeping higher
US inflation data is in traders’ crosshairs this week ahead of the Federal Open Market Committee’s Oct. 28 meeting on interest-rate policy.
The September prints of the Consumer Price Index (CPI) and Producer Price Index (PPI) will be released on Wednesday and Thursday, respectively.
In August, CPI broadly conformed to expectations at 3.4% year-on-year, with markets now seeing an uptick to 3.7% this month on the back of ongoing military action in the Middle East and associated fuel-price surges. PPI is expected at 0.3% month-on-month versus 0.2% in August.

Crypto, stocks and gold traditionally benefit from lower-than-expected inflation readings as these reduce the odds of the Fed tightening policy, allowing for capital inflows to strengthen. Speaking to Reuters about current gold prices and US bond yields, Tim Waterer, chief market analyst at KCM Trade, drew attention to the impact of a surprise move to the downside for CPI and PPI readings in particular.
“In the short term, a cooler-than-expected US inflation reading would be the clearest near-term catalyst, as it would reduce the odds of further Fed tightening and ease pressure on real yield,” he said.
CME FedWatch shows that markets see just an 18.8% chance of a rate hike on Oct. 28 from the current 3.75-4.00% range. The following meeting, in December, is attracting 70.6% odds of the Fed hiking by 25 basis points to 4.00-4.25%.

Fed chair Kevin Warsh is due to hold a discussion with Kristalina Georgieva, managing director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), at an event in Bangkok, Thailand on Friday.
Oil briefly cools on US-Russia diesel announcement
US bond yields have come off 24-year highs seen last week, with the 10-year and 30-year yields at 5.24% and 5.60%, respectively, on Monday.

Stocks futures were green to start the week, with the S&P 500 index up 0.25% and around 30 points off new all-time highs.

An announcement by US President Donald Trump over a deal to buy 300,000 tons of diesel from Russia appeared to have only a modest knock-on effect on oil prices, with the plan facing growing bipartisan backlash. Trump also announced an “energy ceasefire” between Russia and Ukraine.
“Effective immediately, there is an ENERGY CEASEFIRE in the War between Russia and Ukraine. Both parties have agreed,” he wrote on Sunday in a post on Truth Social. Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said he was unaware of the energy ceasefire.
WTI crude traded around $91.50 per barrel on Monday, up 2% from the day’s low of $89.60. Data from motorist group AAA put the average price of diesel at $6.26 per gallon versus all-time highs of $6.52 seen on Sept. 22.

PVM analyst Tamas Varga told Reuters Russia’s reduced output capacity made the impact of the deal “questionable.”
“However, Moscow has partially lifted its ban on diesel exports, allowing 500,000 tonnes (around 3.7 million barrels) to be released onto the international market, equivalent to roughly one day of US consumption and around 13% of global demand,” he noted.
Bitcoin avoids support breakdown at weekly close
At around $83,700 on Bitstamp, Sunday’s weekly candle close cemented a 3.2% weekly decline for BTC/USD.

At the same time, the pair preserved a key support level at $82,500 on weekly time frames, thus avoiding a return to its previous long-term range between $60,000 and $80,000. As Cointelegraph reported, $82,500 remains on traders’ radar as a crucial line in the sand for Bitcoin bulls.
Last week, trader and analyst Rekt Capital wrote that a weekly close above $82,500 would mark a “successful” support retest. This in turn could see investors continue to reaccumulate BTC at current levels, opening up the path higher in a manner similar to Bitcoin’s recovery from its 2022 bear market.

In light of Bitcoin’s multiple support retests after its initial breakout in July, trader and analyst Aksel Kibar drew comparisons between crypto and stock markets. Since May, the S&P 500 has seen multiple retests at key levels, initially at 7,300 points and then at 7,600 points.

Bitcoin could be experiencing a “hard retest” of support in a similar manner, with the implication that BTC/USD should shift higher if those retests continued to be successful, Kibar wrote in an X post on Sunday.

ASIC’s proposal would extend leverage limits and protections against negative balances to certain derivatives settled in digital assets.
Australia’s securities regulator wants to extend leverage limits and other retail investor safeguards to certain trading contracts settled in crypto.
On Monday, the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) proposed expanding the rules for contracts for difference (CFDs), which let traders bet on price movements without owning the underlying asset.
The rules generally cover contracts settled in cash or by offsetting obligations between the parties. ASIC wants to add contracts settled by transferring digital assets, including those tracking non-crypto assets, provided they meet the other criteria for a CFD.
ASIC said that certain crypto futures and options with fixed expiration dates would remain outside the CFD rules.
Australia’s existing framework, introduced in 2021, caps leverage and requires providers to close positions when account funds fall below specified levels. Negative balance protection also limits losses to the funds in a client’s CFD trading account.
The regulator is seeking feedback on the proposed extension and amendments until Nov. 9.
Separately, Australia passed legislation in April to bring crypto exchanges and tokenized custody platforms under its financial services licensing framework, with the new regime taking effect on April 9, 2027.
ASIC also required crypto firms relying on temporary enforcement relief under existing financial services law to apply for licenses by Sept. 30 or seek changes to their existing licenses.
